The city of Toowoomba is located 125 km west of Brisbane. It is the largest city and provincial capital of the Darling Downs region of Queensland. Darling Downs is primarily a farming region. In addition to agriculture, mining also is a large part of the economy. The region is situated on the western slopes of the Great Diving Range.
