City Spotlight: Moving to Gold Coast

Gold Coast is a city in Queensland that is right on the coast (as the name indicates). It is a popular tourist destination, but it is also a great and exciting place to live. In the centre of the Gold Coast’s beachside skyline is Surfer’s Paradise. It features a wide stretch of beach and the tallest residential skyscraper in the world known as Q1. It is the 2nd most populated city in Queensland and the 6th most populous city in Australia. Gold Coast is just 94 km south of Brisbane. Since Gold Coast is so close to the capital city, it is often considered a combined urban centre and together has a population of over 3 million. The other unique thing about Gold Coast is that the Tweeds Head portion of the city crosses over into New South Wales.
