Townsville is located on the coast in Northern Queensland. It is one of the major port cities to the Great Barrier Reef, adjacent to the central section of it. Townsville is often referred to as the unofficial capital of North Queensland. It is located about halfway between Brisbane and Cape York. This is the dry tropics region of Queensland and Townsville is the largest urban centre in the north. The population is about 200,000 and many government, community and business events are hosted or held here. Continue reading
