ogether, the twin cities of Albury in New South Wales and Wodonga in Victoria form an urban area. As of june 2014, the population was close to 90,000. The popular is very evenly split between the two cities. The Murray River separates the two cities and so does the border between New South Wales and Victoria. Even though the two cities are in different states, they form one unique community. The cities have built up transportation to connect the two cities and makes travel back and forth very simple. The cities are located a little over 450 km southwest of Sydney and 326 km northeast of Melbourne. Off in the distance to the south, you can see the mountains of Victoria’s alpine region.
